The Citadel residential assisted living provides a home where seniors get help with living, eating, and daily tasks like bathing and using the restroom. We specialize in helping those with memory issues, with extra safety measures, trained staff, therapies, and medical help available all the time. We want to make a positive difference in each elders life, making them happy and cared for. We give them space but also make sure everyone in our citadel feels valued and contended.
Nursing services
Nursing services for elders are about giving older adults the right care, support, and company they need to feel good and live well. All of our nurses know how important it is to have someone to spend time with, so we eat together, play games, and go for relaxing walks side by side.
Home for Elders
We provide a citadel center for old people with different levels of care like Assisted Living and Memory Care at various locations: in Dallas, in Mesquite, and a new Community opening soon. Our communities are cozy, filled with natural light, and adorned with beautiful antiques.
After years of working with senior living
After years of working with senior living within Central Texas, founder, and Administrator Rose & Michael Kanu decided that they would like to develop a senior living community concept with an outstanding purpose and new vision for our most vulnerable community. Their sights were set and they became determined that superlative service and care would be foundational truths of their establishment.
They chose the name “The Citadel ”to connote family fortitude and heritage. When Michael and Rose began to ask the question “What could be done to bridge the gap between family, health care services, and staff and those that need a constant flow of loving care and support Necessitating that “The Citadel, become a gateway center of care, love, also a fun filled atmosphere committed social networking dedicated to helping our Senior population to feel safe and secure. The program would also foster and nurture those challenged with mental and physical health.
After extensive experience in senior living throughout Texas, founders Rose and Michael Kanu began their mission to redefine senior care with a fresh perspective. They envisioned a community centered on unparalleled service and compassion.Thus, they christened it “The Citadel,” a name evoking familial roots.
Driven by the question of how to bridge the gap between healthcare workers and those in need, Michael and Rose conceptualized The Citadel as a haven of continuous care, affection, and vibrant social engagement. They aimed to cultivate an environment brimming with activities and programs promoting both mental and physical well-being.
Amenities and facilities for our senior elders
The Citadel shines brightly as a place for holistic care and support., offering Assisted Living and Memory Care at multiple locations: Dallas, Mesquite, and a forthcoming community. All our spaces are adorned with antiques and bathed in natural light, creating inviting common areas where residents gather. We have a grand Dining Room illuminated by firelight which sets the scene for communal meals. We also got plush seating areas adorned with Old World decor to provide cozy retreats.
Each resident retires to a private living space designed for exceptional comfort and tranquility. The Ladies here got the convene for card games in elegantly appointed rooms, while gentlemen perused newspapers amidst comfort and refinement. We’re all about respecting each other’s space and letting folks do their thing. Whether it’s lending a hand with daily tasks or just being there for a chat, our caregivers are all about spreading the love and making sure everyone feels the comfort of home all the time.
